For the floor of the Robert A. M. Stern designed student center at Pomona College, I designed a large scale diamond shaped bronze relief map with images and text referencing both the architectural history of Southern California with many buildings rendered in relief in the middle, along with a surrounding ring of images from the history and culture of the campus itself. These included a humorous orange crate label referencing “Co-Ed” oranges there were many types of labels on gt he end of orange creates this one featured a beautiful young smiling “Co-Ed” wearing a mortarboard.as well as a description of the mating rituals of the sage hen, the campus mascot.
